I have to say that I have met the spunkiest Chef yet! Private Chef Camille is a riot and his personality is contagious. The Croque Madame is a dish that I have seen on tv and salivated over, I can tell you that! I had no clue that it was so simple to make and simply delicious. When I invited Chef Camille on, I had no clue we would be in for such a treat. You will love his story of how he learned to “hate” food, how he ended up in western New York and how his love for food evolved into what it is right now.
It is truly an amazing story. You can catch him every Wednesday at 7pm at the Italian Culture Center on Delaware (for those of us that live in Buffalo NY) for 45 mins cooking his heart out. He is also on YouTube (Camilleprivatechef) live giving us the goods, so be sure to tune in!!!!
Family recipes have so much meaning and I just love the ones that have been passed down! The ones that have been done between the older family members and the little ones since they were old enough to remember always get me a little choked up. These especially, are the ones that will always be remembered. This recipe is something special to Marissa and I can tell she wanted to make her family so proud! The crepes themselves were from scratch! I have personally never made crepes myself and had no clue that it was this simple to make them. I have to try them for myself and I hope you do as well! Enjoy!
This recipes for life embodies what the mission is. Linda took something that she did as a child, made it into something that she loves to do as an adult and is now sharing it with us all. She did say that P B & J is not a flavor that she and her husband George don’t carry, but let me tell you, I have had their pierogi’s and they are DELICIOUS! When Linda told me what she was going to put together, my heart got so excited and when I tried it, I literally just felt joy and I know you will too! Pull up some chairs for the little people in your life, clear some counter space and please try this recipe with them! It will make for amazing family time – I can promise you that 100%
I love split pea soup! The problem with that is that I am the only person in my house that likes it, so I have only ever tried to make it once. When Dave came on to cook with me I was very excited. I will now be making Dave’s mother-in-laws soup thanks to him sharing! The story behind this dish is so heart warming. A good dish is always on the menu but a good dish with love behind it can change a person and that is exactly what this did for Dave and will do for you after you watch it. Loss, whether expected or unexpected, is never easy. The way that his mother n law stepped in and make this dish special for Dave again truly makes you think of ways you can connect with someone you love in a special way. It made me think about it for sure. Thank you Dave for sharing!
